Samuel Cronwright-Schreiner was a South African writer and political activist who was deeply involved in the peace movement during the Second Boer War. 

Unfortunately no information can be found, as yet, about the recipient of the book R. Collins (?)

The dedication is written in a 1906 publication entitled "The Land of Free Speech". The book provides a comprehensive look at the author's travels throughout England and Scotland as he spoke out against the war and advocated for peace.
